FRAMINGHAM – The Project Beacon free COVID-19 drive-thru only testing site on Franklin Street in Framingham will be closed on Thursday, February 4 to add an additional lane, to accommodate more testing.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Stop the Spread testing site, run by Project Beacon, likely will be closed on Tuesday February 2 due to the pending snowstorm.

The site cancelled appointment after noon today due to the storm.

the Project Beacon site was closed last week for two days due to extreme cold temperatures.

Adding an additional lane will means 150 more people per day can be tested.

The City of Framingham has yet to open a free walk-up COVID testing site in 2021.

SOURCE has learned the State & the City are considering one of the City’s polling places as a potential site.
