HOLLISTON – Donna Marie Brown, 69, of Holliston, passed away at Medway Country Manor on Thursday, January 28, 2021.

Born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Thelma (Rogers) and Norman French.

She was the wife of 41 years to the late James E. Brown III.

Donna lived most of her life in Holliston. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed raising, breeding and training German Shepherds. She was heavily involved with the Bay State German Shepherd Dog Club and enjoyed traveling to dog shows with her husband.

Donna also had a great love for music and could often be found singing along with Elvis, the Beatles or any other group that was on the radio. A loving grandmother, she enjoyed rooting for her grandson at his baseball games.

Donna is survived by her children, Maribeth Ross and her husband, Christopher of Kennebunk, ME and James E. Brown IV and his significant other, Jennifer Sullivan, of Holliston. She also leaves behind her siblings, Kathy Cates of FL, Norma Kittredge and her husband, John of FL and NH, Russell French and his wife, Beverly of FL, and Terri McGrath and her husband, Mark of Framingham; as well as her grandchild, Jacob Mello of Kennebunk, ME and her dear friends, Dana and David Kingsbury and Sue McDonald of Holliston.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a graveside service will take place in the spring at Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.
