MARLBOROUGH – William E. Henley, 73, of Marlborough died Sunday January 24, 2021 at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 45 years Iona G. (Clarke) Henley. 

He was born in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. the son of the late John and Zelda (Harrigan) Henley and was a graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School Class of 1967.

William was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. 

He worked for Vitelco (AT&T) in the US Virgin Islands for 35 years.

In his free time, he enjoyed spear fishing, reading, and spending time with his family.  He was funny, mild mannered and laid back. 

In addition to his wife Iona, he leaves two daughters, Roxann U. Henley and Rochell I. Dennehy both of Marlborough; two brothers, James Henley of Atlanta and Roy Stout of St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.; a sister Juliette George of St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.; a grandson Tiberius Dennehy of Marlborough.

Funeral services will be private. Burial with Military Honors will be held Friday at 11:45 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
