1 It snowed overnight and roads are some roads are still slippery this morning. Several crashes reported this morning. The City is still on schedule for trash & recycling collection.

2. CITY of FRAMINGHAM meetings (remote or on Zoom unless otherwise stated):

  • Framingham School Committee: Climate Change, Environment, & Sustainability Subcommittee  at 4:30 p.m.
  • Framingham High School Council  at 5:15 p.m.
  • Framingham Disability Commission at 7 p.m.
  • Framingham Cultural Council at 7 p.m.
  • Framingham Community Development Committee at 7 p.m.

3. The City surpassed 6,000 COVID-19 cases on Monday, and the world surpassed 100 million cases yesterday.

Appointments for the Vaccine for those age 75 and older opened today. The first appointments will take place on Monday, February 1.

The state’s new free COVID testing site at Framingham State University’s parking lot, which is by appointment only, has been extremely busy since before Christmas.

The City of Framingham has yet to open a free walk-up COVID testing site in 2021, although SOURCE has learned they are considering one of the City’s polling places as a potential site.

4. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events.
