NATICK – Keith G.F. Cassedy, 87, died unexpectedly on January 16, 2021.

Keith was born in Cambridge. He was the son of the late Harold and Marie (Francis) Cassedy, and grew up in Dorchester on Helena Road.

For 61 years, Keith was the devoted husband of Margaret (Peg) Cassedy.  He is survived by his children, Mary Beth Westenfield and her husband Otty of Medway, and Susan Hart and her husband Tom of Medway.  Keith also leaves his seven grandchildren, Skip Westenfield and his wife Lauren of North Attleboro, Meghan Tremblay and her husband Jonathon of Milford, Kate Westenfield of Indian Harbor Beach, Florida, Connor Westenfield of Medway, Ali Hart and her fiancé Jacob Barnes of Brick, New Jersey, Emma Hart of Boston and Brie Westenfield of Medway.  Keith also leaves his brother, Jack Cassedy and his wife Beth of Hingham, his sister-in-law, Mary Murphy and her husband Bill of East Bridgewater and his nieces and nephews.

Keith was a devoted educator with 35 years in the profession, the majority in the Natick School System. He was a teacher at Brown School, an Assistant Principal at the Elliot School, and Principal at Johnson, Lilja and Lincoln Schools.  Keith had a great love and respect for kids and could often be found on the field or in the gym playing football and basketball.  Keith was an amazing support to many and will be missed by his former students and colleagues.

Keith and Peg retired early, and thus were able to enjoy their love of travel. They visited Hawaii, Normandy, Bonaire, Ireland, and vacationed in 47 of the United States.

Everyone Keith met was his friend, and he would envelope them immediately in his warmth and hospitality.  His family will miss him greatly, and will always remember his smile and laugh, as well as his constant love and kindness. He was a great man.
