SHERBORN – John A. Knapp, Jr., of Sherborn, died January 13, 2021, peaceably at his residence at the age of 89. 

He was born February 5, 1931, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of John Andrew Knapp Sr. and Kathryn (Rost).

While working at the St. Paul Dispatch John met the love of his life Katherine Marie Brunner. They married January 27, 1951 and God blessed them with nine children.

John served in both the National Guard and the Air Force during the Korean War.

He was a devoted husband and father.

John was a highly successful businessman/entrepreneur, but his focus always stayed on his family. His love for God and family were unwavering in all that he did.  He was courageous, persistent, hardworking, and passionate about pursuing his dreams. He truly lived out the American Dream.

He was predeceased by his son David and his daughter Mary. He is survived by his wife Katherine, their children Debbie, Peggy, John, Mark, Patty, Michael, and Stephen.  He leaves behind 29 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Linus Church, 119 Hartford Street in Natick on Wednesday January 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Natick. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
