FRAMINGHAM – Robert Hart Chalmers, 88 of Framingham passed away Monday Dec. 28, 2020.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Edward and Ethel (Hart) Chalmers and husband of Elizabeth (Quinn) Chalmers.

Mr. Chalmers served his country honorably during the Korean War in the Air Force from 1951-1955.

A graduate of Boston University with a Master’s Degree in Education, Bob began his career as a business teacher and later transitioned to the special education department at Newton North High School, a proud teacher for the City of Newton of more than 30 years.

In addition, he was the long-time manager of the Newton Teachers Credit Union and was a past Quartermaster for the Natick VFW.

Bob loved sports especially the Patriot’s, he was an avid season ticket holder for more than 35 years, he also loved to play sports including golf, taking great pride in scoring a hole in one, that was a memorable day!

In addition to his wife; he is survived by five children; Scott Chalmers and his wife Deborah of Ashland; Brian Chalmers and his wife Beth of NH; Jeffrey Chalmers and his wife Jan of CA; Mark Chalmers and his wife Pam of Framingham; and Sandra Espinosa and her husband Jim of Framingham; and eleven grandchildren.

Services are private at this time due to COVID-19.
