1 There are NO City of Framingham meetings today, as the joint meeting between the Framingham Library Trustees and the Framingham City Council has been cancelled.
2. Waushakum Street is closed today for road work.
3. FREE COVID TESTING INFO:
- A new free COVID testing site opened this month at Framingham State University’s parking lot on Franklin Street. It is drive-thru and by appointment only. The appointments will be limited this week.
- A Framingham residents only, walk-up testing site will open at SMOC HQ will close on Wednesday.
4. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events.
5. As of Monday, December 28, only the tax collector and City Clerk’s offices will be open to the public for walk-ins. All other offices are by appointment only.
BONUS: George Williams founded the YMCA in 1844. Inspired by the stories of the Y in England, he led the formation of the first U.S. YMCA at the Old South Church in Boston on December 29, 1851. The American YMCA is celebrating its 169th birthday today.
