FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham’s Health Department issued COVID fines to Dollar General and Ropa Laundry in Framingham in November, according to Framingham Health Director Sam Wong.

On November 23, the City of Framingham issued $300 fines for violating the Commonwealth’s COVID-19 re-opening orders.

Dollar General at 208 Waverly Street was fined $300 on November 23. As of today, it has yet to be paid.

Ropa Laundry at 158 Union Avenue was fined $300 on November. The fine was paid that day.

The Governor issued a series of orders for a phased reopening of workplaces and establish mandatory health and safety standards to address COVID-19 that all enterprises must adopt on reopening to protect workers, customers, and the public.  

Businesses that failed to adhere to the standards are subject to a $300 fine.

The City said the two businesses above violated order #43.
