FRAMINGHAM – William G. “Jay” Quinn, 93, a lifelong Framingham resident died Sunday, December 20, 2020 after a brief illness.

Born the son of Henry & Isabella (Welch) Quinn, he was the beloved husband of late Virginia M. “Ginny” (Worrey) Quinn.

A graduate of Framingham High, and true to his era, Jay served his country in the Army Air Corps and went on to raise his family in he and Ginny’s hometown of Framingham.

He worked for a few years at So. Middlesex Supply, and soon after began his lengthy career with the Town of Framingham, retiring as Director of Maintenance for the Housing Authority.

Jay enjoyed all Boston sports, and was often found on the golf course or at the Framingham Lodge of Elks where he was a lifetime member.

Jay is survived by his children, William S. Quinn of Framingham, Michael J. Quinn & his wife Gina Mingace-Quinn of Newton, Robert S. Quinn & his wife Michelle of Holliston, Kevin E. Quinn of Framingham, and Paula M. Quinn Parrish of Exeter, NH, his beloved grandchildren, Jason and Jenna Quinn of Holliston, Michael and Christopher Quinn of Newton, and Sean Quinn Parrish of NH, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Ginny, Jay was predeceased by his siblings Robert H. Quinn and Janet Tomasi.

Considering the current health restrictions, Jay’s family will honor and remember him privately, with a mass and celebration of his life to take place at a later date to be announced.
