FRAMINGHAM – Arthur “Artie” H. Lill, Jr., age 72, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died on Sunday, December 13, 2020.

Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Arthur H. and Evelyn F. (Powell) Lill.

Artie graduated from Framingham South High School in 1966.

He then served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Wellesley and formerly for the City of Marlborough.

Artie became a motorcycle enthusiast from his first ride when he was young, especially Harley-Davidson Motorcycles.  He was very generous and kind and always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family.

He is survived by his sons, Christopher Lill and Jake Lill, and their mother Mary C. (Moreau) Publicover; his grandchildren, Chase and Chloe Lill; his siblings, Gladys Wheeler, Francis Lill and his wife Kathryn, Edward Lill and his wife Norean, and Carol Lill. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many beloved friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (Corner of Union Ave.) Framingham on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

 Artie’s funeral service and internment at Edgell Grove Cemetery will be held privately.  

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his name may be made to the V.A. Boston Healthcare System, Brockton VAMC Campus, Attn: Voluntary Service (135), 940 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301
