FRAMINGHAM – MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham administered the COVID-19 vaccine to its first recipients today, December 15.
These were the first vaccines issued in the City of Framingham.
Employees on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic are the first individuals to receive the vaccine, said the Center.
Nicole Nelson, a ICU RN, was the first employee the vaccine was given to, said MetroWest Medical Cemyer.
Following her were Dr. Lisa Sotir, an ER Physician and then Thomas Murphy, a Respiratory Therapist.
Pharmacist Neil Wallis administered the shot, said MetroWest Medical.
