HOLLISTON – Pauline A. Brovelli, 96, of Holliston, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

Born in  Walpole, she was the daughter of the late John & Amelia (Civita) Proccacini.

She was the beloved wife of 71 years to Vasco A. Brovelli, who just passed away on December 4, 2020. It gives our hearts peace to know they are together again and reunited with their sons.

Our beloved Mammy, as she was known by her family and friends, dedicated her life to her faith and her family.  She raised her four children and as they grew up, started her career in the Town Clerk’s office in Holliston.  She stayed involved in the town she loved by working at the town polls long after she retired.  Her retirement worked perfectly with the arrival of her grandchildren, who she cherished spending time with.  She was always happiest when she had her family around and she was hosting pasta Wednesday or Sunday dinner.  She also loved spending winters in Florida with Poppy, but was always ready to get back home to her family at the end of the winter.

She is survived by a family who adored her. Her son, Stephen Brovelli and his wife, Sharon of Medway; her daughter, Nancy Mercurio and her husband, Michael of Cave Creek, AZ; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Brovelli of Medway; 9 grandchildren, Gregory and his wife Vanessa, Christine, John and his fiancee, Patricia Rodas, Jordan and her husband, Sean Graham, Jason, Michael and Matthew Mercurio. She is predeceased by two sons, Wayne and David Brovelli.  Pauline was one of 10 children, with 2 of her siblings passing away at birth.  She is predeceased by her brothers Albert and his wife, Angie Procaccini, Melvin and his wife, Tess Procaccini, Anthony and his wife, Jean Procaccini,  and Raymond Procaccini.  She is predeceased by her sisters, Palma and her husband, Anthony Difillippo, Emma and her husband, Guy Dentino, Rose and her husband, Guy Pierro.  She is predeceased by her twin brother, Paul Procaccini.  She is survived by his wife, Marie and several special nieces and nephews.

Pauline and Vasco’s visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington Street www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. The Mass will be live streamed at https://www.facebook.com/MusicAtStMarysHolliston/ You do not need a Facebook acct. to access.

Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 8 Church St. Holliston, MA 01746. Please note, masks must be worn & social distancing must be adhered to.
