FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Council on Aging is excited to announce its first Framingham Senior Heroes Award. This award will be given to 5 Framingham seniors that have contributed significantly to the inclusivity and diversity of Framingham in one of the following categories:

  • Culture/Arts
  • Social Development (i.e. sports, programs recognized throughout the community to improve socialization/collaboration of various ethnic groups, youth and/or seniors)
  • Health or Health Care
  • Public Services (*Note: Exclude individuals currently holding political or municipal employment positions. Former public officials or employees not currently employed by the city and residing in Framingham may be considered.)

  • Framingham is a multi-cultural community and has been known as the “Melting Pot” of ethnic groups. The recognition will be given to five individuals that represent Framingham’s multi- cultural community. One from each of the following age groups:
  •  60 – 69 years old
  •  70 – 79 years old
  •  80 – 89 years old
  •  90 – 99 years old
  •  100 years old +

The deadline to submit is January 29, 2021.
