FRAMINGHAM – Sontiq, the parent company of IdentityForce, is partnering with a non-profit organization committed to helping families and children break the cycle of hunger. Project Bread, based in Boston, is on a mission to make healthy food affordable and accessible to everyone in Massachusetts, every day.

With the economic toll that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on families across the country, one in five households with children in Massachusetts is struggling to stay nourished. Sontiq, also located in Boston, selected to do good with Project Bread to help serve the local community.

Starting Monday, November 23, through Sunday, December 20, 20 percent of any new sales generated through Sontiq’s IdentityForce product will be donated to Project Bread.

“The pandemic has compromised the economic situation of many of our neighbors — we wanted to do something to help give back to the community,” said Brian J. Longe, president and CEO of Sontiq. “We were introduced to Project Bread by one of our employees, and we appreciate all they are doing to help our local communities. We’ve always been committed to the safety and security of children and families — and now we’re committing to help support the fight against hunger.”

Nearly a quarter of all Massachusetts households worry about being able to afford enough food for themselves or their families. The continuous need for food security during the pandemic is further underscored by a four-fold increase in call volume to Project Bread’s FoodSource Hotline since the onset of the crisis.

“We all know kids need food to learn and grow and thrive. That’s especially true in the context of the COVID-19 health crisis, but 1 in 5 households with children is struggling right now to afford enough to eat,” said Liz Greenhalgh, VP of communications and development at Project Bread. “At Project Bread, we’re seeing more need than ever before during our more than 50 years fighting hunger. That’s why we’re so grateful that Sontiq is taking action as our partner in preventing hunger this holiday season. Their support for Project Bread’s work to keep families safe from hunger is a natural extension and a great testament to their commitment to helping customers and giving back to the larger community.”
