FRAMINGHAM – Police arrested and charged a Framingham man with arson on Sunday afternoon, November 29.

Police arrested at 1:03 p.m. Anthony Michael Geyer, 29, of 3 Merchant Road in Framingham.

He was charged on a warrant for breaking & entering of a motor vehicle during the day, malicious damage to a motor vehicle and felony arson of a motor vehicle.

A vehicle was reported broken into on Franklin Street. The daughter of the owner of the vehicle observed the suspect in the car, and called her father, and then police, explained Framingham Police Lt. Patricia Grigas.

“When officers arrived, father is physically restraining Geyer on the ground,” said Lt. Grigas. “Officers secured Geyer.”

Police found the passenger window of the car broken into and items from inside the vehicle were on the ground outside the vehicle, explained police.

“While officers (were) clearing that scene and transporting Geyer to station,” the call came in for a car fire on Franklin Street, said Lt Grigas.

That vehicle and another had broken side windows.

“Witnesses described suspect and video places him” at the scene of the vehicle on fire, said Lt Grigas.

Geyer was scheduled to be arraigned today, November 30, in Framingham District Court.
