FRAMINGHAM – Sean P. Flanagan, died November 22, 2020 at age 59 after a lengthy illness. 

A talented musician, Sean left the Midwest and came to the Boston area as a teen to study bass at Berklee College of Music.  He later completed M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and at the University of Connecticut. 

Sean worked as an independent composer and taught music theory at the New England Conservatory of Music.  He composed many original works including film scores, two original ballets, and many piano and orchestral pieces. 

Above all, Sean treasured his daughters Alice and Ellen and his grandson Logan.  Sean is survived by his daughters, his wife Mary, his grandson Logan, as well as his mother Judy, his brother Mike and sisters Laura and Eve, along with many nieces and nephews.

Considering current health restrictions family will celebrate Sean’s life privately.
