FRAMINGHAM – Kathleen (Ellickson) Foley, 95, a resident of Carmel Terrace Assisted Living, Framingham, died Sunday November 15, 2020 following a period of declining health.

Kathleen was born in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late Lester & Mary M. (Martha) (Franey) Ellickson.

After marrying the love of her life Edward, they followed his career across the country from Connecticut to Seattle, to Hawaii, to Massachusetts, ultimately enjoying their golden years in Estero, Florida.

Early childhood development and education was a special expertise.

Her devotion to children was evident in her studies and work, and she found escape in jazz music, and solace in her Catholic faith.  It was her role as mother to her children, Dennis P. Foley of Arlington, MA, Ann Foley & her husband Lawrence Ruth of Berkeley, CA, and Ellen Foley & her husband Kendall MacLean of Los Gatos, CA, and wife to her late husband Edward that brought her true happiness. She reveled in her many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Kathleen was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Ellickson of Illinois.
