NATICK – The Charles River Rotary Club donated 1,500 medical masks and candy for their snack room to MetroWest Medical Center first responders, said President June Szretter.

The Charles River Rotary thanked the nurses at MetroWest Medical Center for their tireless commitment to the health of our community in the fight against COVID-19.  

The Charles River Rotary Club serves Natick, Wellesley, Framingham and Ashland and is a volunteer group of men and women dedicated to the Rotary mission of “service above self.”

Charles River Rotary holds fundraisers to help suport local service programs such as providing dictionaries for 3rd graders in Framingham schools, Natick Food Pantry, scholarships for Keefe Tech seniors in the trades, a St. Patrick’s Dinner Dance in Natick for special needs young adults, RYLA scholarships for high school sophomores, Spark Kindness programs and Rotary International work to eradicate Polio and help with COVID vaccinations. 

Charles River Rotary welcomes new members who would like to get involved in service projects, as well as enjoy fellowship. Charles River Rotary Club meets virtually via Zoom Thursday mornings from 7:30-8:30 am and has monthly speakers.

The next speaker is Jane Ellen Newman, Community Relations Coordinator, of Morse Institute Library on November 19 at 7-8 pm.
