ASHLAND – After 38 years, the Town of Ashland’s Health Agent Mark Oram is retiring.

His last day with the Town of Ashland is Friday, November 13.

“Mark has been a valuable member of the Ashland team and public health resources for almost 38 years, and he will be greatly missed by colleagues and residents alike. The Town has benefited from his extensive network, and public health knowledge and experience. He has been accessible, approachable, and dedicated to his work,” said Ashland Town Manager Michael Herbert in a statement.

An interim has not been named yet.

Ashland Police Sgt. Ed Burman is overseeing the community’s COVID-19 response.

Oram, who lives in Marlborough, is an elected member of that City’s Council.
