1 Today is election day in Framingham, across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and in America.

Polls will be open in Framingham from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Framingham voters will also see a local ballot question – Question #3 – the Community Preservation Act.

2. For 9 consecutive weeks, the City of Framingham has been a red or high-risk community for the coronavirus. The drive-thru testing site for COVID has closed at Walsh Middle School..

A new drive-thru FREE COVID testing site opens at YJX HQ today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be open Mondays through Saturdays in November. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has hired Fallon Ambulance to run the testing site as part of the state’s Stop the Spread campaign.

There is also a free testing site at SMOC HQ at 7 Bishop Street from 3 to 6 p.m. It is walk-up only with limited parking. The City announced yesterday the Amazing Things testing site has closed.

3. CITY of FRAMINGHAM meetings (all are remote unless noted). There are none tonight due to the election.

According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events. She was out campaigning for Senate Ed Markey and Carmine Gentile earlier this week. She had endorsed Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy III in the Senate race earlier this year, but he lost in the primary.

4. The Gateway Camera Club will hold a presentation virtually tonight. New members are welcome.

5. A $100,000 lottery ticket was sold in Framingham this week.
