FRAMINGHAM – COVID-19 has made 2020 a difficult year for charities and fundraisers, at a time when needs are even greater in the communities they serve.

Despite the economic downturn and the fact there was no live running of the Boston Marathon this year, Team Framingham raised $78,274 for Framingham-focused charities.

Speaking on behalf of the Team Framingham Steering Committee Chair Jenifer Feaster said, “We didn’t get to cheer them on in Framingham or watch them cross the finish line in Boston, but we are so proud of this team. Many of them ran the virtual race in September, and the money they raised has helped five very worthy organizations continue to have an impact in our community during these challenging times.”
