“No doubt many of you will wonder why, after twenty wonderful years, we have made this difficult decision. Like most difficult decisions, the answer may best be articulated as ‘for a number of complex reasons,'” said Morganti in an email to customers. “But, the short, honest answer is: it simply feels like it’s the right time. 2020 has been (to put it mildly!) a challenging year for so many us – from the local level to the global. And, we’re sure we’re not alone in this being a year that has brought much reflection. For us at Fifth Ave, this reflection has underscored the importance of balance between home life and work life. We have decided now is the right time for us to scale back the challenges, obligations, and time requirement that operating two locations presents.”

“It has been an amazing ride in Millis with all of you: thank you for helping us build a wine and spirits community in Millis, as we have in Framingham. We couldn’t have done it without you; my only regret is not having been able to spend more time at the store getting to know you better over the years.
We look forward to continuing to provide you the best of service at our Framingham store as we enter the wonderful holiday season,” concluded Morganti.
