MARLBOROUGH – The City of Marlborough remains a high-risk community for the coronavirus.

Today, October 14, City announced 8 new positive COVID-19 cases since Monday, October 12.

The City is reporting a total of 1,338 cases, since the pandemic began.

Marlborough became one of the Commonwealth’s high-risk communities in the state at the end of September.

The City of Marlborough’s COVID-19 positive rate increased from 17.4 to 19. as of October 10th.

The State considers a community high risk if there are more than 8 new cases per day per 100,000 people over a 2-week period.

There have been 72 deaths since the pandemic began in the city.

The good news is that 1,188 individuals have recovered from the virus.

Active cases in the City decreased from 80 to 72,
