Streets Scheduled Water Main Flushing Week of October 13

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Water Department will begin conducting its autumn water main flushing starting Monday, October 5.

The flushing will continue in designated areas through November 13.

Water main flushing will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., in residential areas and 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., in business areas.

The purpose of the program is to improve drinking water quality for residents and businesses in Framingham.

Zones 1 & 2 were completed last week. Schedule for this week is Zone 3. A couple of Zone 3 roads were completed last week.

Zone 3 roads are:

• Aleda Street
• Barker Lane – Complete
• Birch Road
• Brigati Terrace
• Brossi Circle
• Colby Avenue
• Concord Street
• Danforth Street
• Derby Street
• Elm Street
• Fenton Street – Complete
• Fenwood Street
• Hamilton Street – Complete

• Hillside Street
• Jay Drive
• Lovering Avenue – Complete
• Meadow Street
• Old Connecticut Path
• Riverpath Drive

• Summit Path

The flushing process may cause discolored water and a reduction in pressure.

The discoloration of the water will be temporary and is not harmful.
