MARLBOROUGH – The City of Marlborough remains a high-risk community for the coronavirus.

Today, October 9, City announced 14 new positive COVID-19 cases since Wednesday. The City has reported 36 new cases since Monday.

The City is reporting a total of 1,287 cases, since the pandemic began.

Marlborough became one of the Commonwealth’s high-risk communities in the state at the end of September.

The City of Marlborough’s COVID-19 positive rate increased from 12.0 to 13.8 as of October 5.

The State considers a community high risk if there are more than 8 new cases per day per 100,000 people over a 2-week period.

There have been 70 deaths.

The good news is that 1,156 individuals have recovered from the virus.

Active cases in the City is at 61.
