FRAMINGHAM – Nearly 1,000 customers were without power on Thursday morning, after a high-wind & rain storm swept through the City on Wednesday evening.

And at 6:45 p.m. almost the same are still without power in the City.

The storm left trees down blocking road, and lots of power lines down. Route 9 was detoured near Prospect Street due to a downed wire last night.

A tree and power lines down at Walsh Middle School cancelled the free COVID testing at that site today.

Eversource is reporting 965 customers out of more than 30,000 without power as of 9:15 a.m. That is roughly 3% of the City of Framingham.

At 6:45 p.m., Eversource is reporting about 825 customers still without power in the City,
