Framingham – The City of Framingham’s Community Development Department (CPD) will hold two virtual public hearings Tuesday, October 13. The public is invited to participate in and comment on the hearings. The meetings can be accessed here:

In the first meeting at 7 p.m., the Department will present the 2020 HUD Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER). The CAPER is a report that highlights how the Department allocated and expended its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, addressing progress achieved or setbacks encountered in meeting priorities.

CAPER’s 15-day public comment period begins Wednesday, October 14, and ends Wednesday, October 28.  Stakeholders are encouraged to submit written comments or questions regarding the draft CAPER to Eliot Yaffa, Community Development Department, City Hall, 150 Concord St., Suite B3, Framingham, MA 01702 or by e-mail at CommunityDevelopment@framinghamma.gov

For the second meeting, which begins after the CAPER presentation, CPD will discuss the $714,101 the City received under the CARES ACT. The Department will provide information about the criteria needed to apply for these funds. The Request for Proposals will be available shortly after the meeting on the Department’s webpage at https://www.framinghamma.gov/418/Community-Development

A 5-day public comment period for the CARES Act will begin Wednesday, October 14, and end Monday, October 19.  People are encouraged to submit written comments or questions regarding the CARES ACT funding to Eliot Yaffa, Community Development Department, City Hall, 150 Concord St., Suite B3, Framingham, MA 01702, or by e-mail at CommunityDevelopment@framinghamma.gov.
