Marlborough Announces 9 New COVID Cases Since Friday & Its 70th Coronavirus Death

MARLBOROUGH – The City of Marlborough remains a high-risk community for the coronavirus.

Today, October 5, City announced 9 new positive COVID-19 cases since Friday.

The City is reporting a total of 1,251 cases, since the pandemic began.

Marlborough became one of the Commonwealth’s high-risk communities in the state at the end of September.

The City of Marlborough’s COVID-19 positive rate increased from 10.8 to 12.3 as of October 1.

The State considers a community high risk if there are more than 8 new cases per day per 100,000 people over a 2-week period.

There have been 70 deaths.

The good news is that 1,131 individuals have recovered from the virus.

The City has 50 active cases.
