Traffic Alert: Road Construction in Framingham Week of October 4, 2020

FRAMINGHAM –The following is a list of road construction projects in the City of Framingham including Framingham DPW, state projects, and utility work.

All projects will be conducted in conformance with the health and safety protocols set forth by the Commonwealth and the City of Framingham.

As the situation with COVID-19 is ever-changing, construction schedules are subject to change.

Work is weather permitting.

Beaver Street Bridge: Punch list items. Expect minor delays at times.  

Bosworth Road Gas Main Relay – Eversource Gas: Eversource Gas will continue relaying gas main and services on Bosworth Road. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect minor delays. 

Cedar Street Gas Main Relay – Eversource Gas: Eversource Gas will continue installing gas service lines on Cedar Street. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect minor delays. 

Grant Street Road and Sidewalk Rehabilitation: Sidewalk and road rehabilitation continues on Grant Street (between Arthur Street and Clinton Street). A two-way/one-way traffic pattern will be in effect at times. Police details will be on-site to facilitate traffic. Expect minor delays. 



Hampden Road Water Main Replacement:
The Water Division will continue installing water main on Hampden Road. Hampden Road will be accessible to residents and emergency vehicles at all times.  

Nobscot Intersection Improvements: Utility poles will be set, and electrical wires will continue to be transferred in preparation for the intersection improvements project. Expect minor delays at times.



Union Avenue and Pearl Street Water and Sewer Improvements: Milling and Paving will be conducted on Union Avenue (between William Welch Way and Beech Street), Lincoln Street (between Evergreen Street and Union Ave.), Pearl Street (between Lincoln Street and Franklin Street), and the Franklin Street intersection at Pearl Street. Detours will be in effect, 7 AM – 5 PM. Please seek an alternate route. No on-street parking will be allowed where signs are posted. Expect delays at times.

Worcester Road Water and Sewer Improvement, Phase I – Eastbound:
Milling and paving will be conducted at night on Worcester Road/Route 9 East from Concord Street to the Natick town line. Operations will be conducted from 8 PM to 5 AM. Lane closures will be in effect. Expect delays at times.
