FRAMINGHAM – An early morning fire at 15 Clark Street in Framingham has taken the life of one adult, said the state fire marshal.

The fire is being investigated by Framingham Fire and Police and State Police assigned to both the Office of the State Fire Marshal and to the Office of Middlesex District Attorney.

The fire was called in by one of the occupants around 2:45 a.m., said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.

Engine 5, Engine 3, Engine 1, Ladder 3, Rescue 1 & Car 2 responded to the single-alarm fire.

“An aggressive interior attack resulted in quick knockdown of fire on the first floor,” said the fire chief.

“Crews removed the victim, an adult male in his 30’s and transported him to MetroWest Medical Center,” said the fire chief.

“Fire is still being investigated but appears to be accidental,” said Chief Dutcher.

There were no other injuries.

“Our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the victim,” said Chief Dutcher.
