FRAMINGHAM– The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be implementing temporary overnight closures of the on-ramp and the off-ramp on Interstate 90 eastbound at exit 12 (Route 9) and the off-ramp on Interstate 90 westbound at exit 12 in Framingham.

The closures will take place overnight from on Monday, September 21, from 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22.

Detours will be in place as follows:

  • Drivers looking to enter and exit Interstate 90 eastbound at exit 12 will be directed to follow the detour signage in place and utilize exit 13 (Route 30 Natick/Framingham).
  • Drivers looking to exit Interstate 90 westbound at exit 12 will be directed to continue westbound and take exit 11A (I-495) to access Route 9 from I-495 northbound at exits 23 A and B.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be impacted due to an emergency.
