Governor Orders Flag Lowered Through September 19

BOSTON – The commemoration period in honor of Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Ralph D. Gants will end at sundown on Saturday, September 19, 2020. As such, Massachusetts Governor Charles D. Baker has ordered that the United States of America flag and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts flag at all state buildings should be returned to full staff at sunset on Saturday, September 19, 2020.

This gubernatorial order applies to:

1.  The main or administration building of each public institution of the Commonwealth, e.g. town and city halls

2.  Other state-owned or state-controlled buildings

3.  All state military installations
