NATICK – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Natick Chief of Police James Hicks, in a press release, have confirmed that a 17-year-old male has been charged with leaving the scene of personal injury, leaving the scene of property damage, two counts of operating under the influence of drugs causing serious bodily injury, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to stop in connection with the serious crash that injured two pedestrians on August 18, 2020.

An immediate threat was also filed with the Registry of Motor Vehicles, said authorities.

The investigation into this incident suggests that the juvenile was allegedly operating a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on Washington Avenue when he struck two pedestrians on the sidewalk and fled the scene, said the press release.

Police subsequently located the suspect vehicle at a Holliston residence on August 18 and later determined that the juvenile was allegedly the operator of the vehicle with two other juvenile occupants at the time of the crash, said the press release.

The subsequent investigation further revealed that the juvenile was allegedly under the influence of marijuana at the time of the crash, said the press release.
