HOLLISTON – Brandon K. Wieland, 24, Sergeant in the U.S. Army, passed away suddenly August 24, 2020.
He is survived by his mother, Lisa A. Wieland of Winchendon, MA; his sister, Elizabeth Goldberg and her husband, Mark and their son, Xander of Cumberland, RI; his grandmother, Dianne Wieland of Marysville, OH; his grandfather and grandmother, Howard and Lillian Wieland of Holliston.
Brandon will be remembered for his wit, his humor, his “ginger” hair, his dedication to achieve what he set out to do, and his smile. During his teen years, Brandon was trained in mixed martial arts and competed often. At one competition, he won first place in several different divisions. He graduated from Loring Job Corps; where he received awards for outstanding performance in the Nurses Aide vocation.
Brandon enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he completed his basic training in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and Combat Medic Training at Ft. Sam Houston, TX. Brandon was deployed to Base Sembach Kaserne, Germany from July 2017- August 2019; where he continued training and practicing his skills as a medic. He received numerous awards and conducted training for the Belarus Military.
Brandon was deployed to Ft. Drum, New York in August 2019 as part of the 10th Mountain Division; where he was promoted to ES Sergeant.
Brandon’s goal was to get his nursing degree, then work towards becoming a physician assistant. He will be terribly missed by his family, his aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends. His memory will live on forever.

Deacon John Barry of St. Mary’s Church in Holliston will conduct a prayer service at the conclusion of visitation.
