HOPKINTON – Mary H. Sherman 95, formally of Hopkinton, passed away on July 13, 2020 in Fort White, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Florenz R. Sherman (Red), grandson James (Mooch), and two brothers Charles and Raymond.

Mary was born May 12, 1925 to the late Edith and Dayton Alford in Tunnelton, West Virginia. She graduated from high school in Grafton W.V. and later began her career in nursing. Mary and her family moved to Hopkinton to raise her family. She worked for many years at the Westborough State Hospital and Framingham Union Hospital and she was an advisor along with her husband (Sherm) for the Coed Scout Cabinet, which was a program for Senior Girl Scouts and Explorers in Hopkinton and surrounding towns.

Mary leaves three children: David Sherman (Barbara) of Milford, Michael Sherman (Lisa) of Milford, and Linda Stoddard of Fort White, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, 1 sister in law and many nieces and nephews from Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

Mary enjoyed her time traveling to visit family, and enjoyed her time at Life Style Enrichment Center, and the Hopkinton Senior Center, exercising, arts
and crafts, playing bridge and bowling with the Senior Bowling League.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
