FRAMINGHAM – Since Friday, the City of Framingham announced 20 more residents have tested positive for COVID-19.

Framingham will have a free, drive-thru testing site at Keefe Technical High School through August 21. It is a nasal swab. It is open to all, with or without insurance. Click here for more details.

The City said it has 119 active cases of the coronavirus.

There have been a total of 1,889 coronavirus cases in the City of Framingham in 2020.

The good news is 1,649 individuals have recovered.

There have been 121 Framingham individuals have died from the COVID-19 or complications from the virus, since the pandemic began.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 40 residents in quarantine.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham. So more than 2.5% of the city tested positive for the virus.

The City announced in June instead of daily updates on the coronavirus, it will now only provide updates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
