FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham Public Health Department announced last night at 9:44 p.m. that Learned Pond on Lower Shawmut Terrace will be closed to swimmers due to elevated bacteria counts.

Signs have been posted at the beach to alert the public about the closure.

An updated announcement will be posted when Learned Beach reopens.

The other two beaches Washakum Beach on Nipmuc Road and Saxonville Beach on Lake Road are unaffected and remain open to the public.
