ASHLAND – The Ashland Fire Department is reporting the town’s phone lines are down due to Tropical Storm Isaias.

“Verizon is currently experiencing an outage in the area and are working diligently to fix this issue,” posted the Fire Department on social media tonight, just before 9:30.

Update: “Your fire and police departments still do not have telephone usage due to a large Fiber Optic issue with Verizon. If, and only if you have an emergency, please call 9-1-1,” reported Ashland Fire at 7:47 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5.
