FRAMINGHAM– The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing the temporary closure of the on and off-ramps on Interstate 90 westbound at exit 12 (Route 9) in Framingham.

The closures will take place overnight tonight, Tuesday, July 21, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22.

During the work, traffic looking to exit I-90 westbound at exit 12 will be directed to continue westbound and take exit 11A (I-495) to access Route 9 from I-495 northbound at exits 23 A and B.

Traffic looking to enter I-90 eastbound or westbound at exit 12 will be directed to continue westbound on Route 9 and take I-495 southbound to exit 22.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution. 

All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be impacted due to an emergency.
