FRAMINGHAM – Rocco Areno Tech Sergeant U.S.A.F, Retired, died at St. Luke’s Hospital on July 15, 2020 after a brief illness.

He was born on May 14, 1933 in Framingham and enlisted in the Air Force at age 19.

He was stationed in England where he met the love of his life, his wife of 50 years Brenda (predeceased 2006).

After many Air Force moves they made Cape Cod their home in 1967.

Surviving children Michael Areno Retired Navy of Maryland, Joanne Brandrup of Bourne and Kareno Stansbury of Maine (predeceased 2015) 2 sisters Mary Craig of Framingham and Angie Garcia of Connecticut. Also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Noon at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visitation 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
