Traffic Alert: Gas Main Replacement on Route 126

ASHLAND – Expect delays on Route 126 in Ashland this week.

Last week, Eversource Gas started the preliminary work for the replacement of the existing gas line on Pond Street (Route 126)

Project will begin on the Framingham/Ashland line on Monday, July 13 at 7;30 a.m. Work is scheduled all week until 4:30 p.m.

Focus for the week will be identifying conflict points at key intersections from the town line to Butterfield Rd. These include the Waushakum, Washington and Greenhalge intersections and the intersection of Pond St/Market Basket Plaza)

Primary means of excavation will be vacuum truck and associated crew which will reduce traffic to 1 lane for approximately 300’ in the area of excavation.
