Framingham Road Construction – Week of July 12 – Warren Road & Flagg Drive, Central Street, Bethany Road & Winthrop Street Intersection, Among Other Projects

FRAMINGHAM – The following is a list of road construction projects in the City of Framinghm for the week of July 12.

The projects are City, massDOT, and utility projects.

All projects will be conducted in conformance with the health and safety protocols set forth by the Commonwealth and the City of Framingham.

As the situation with COVID-19 is ever-changing, construction schedules are subject to change. All work is weather permitting, too.

Beaver Street Bridge: Bridge work continues. Beaver Street Bridge will be closed to through traffic and pedestrians until Fall 2020. A detour will be in effect at all times.

Belvidere Avenue Gas Main Relay – Eversource Gas: Eversource Gas will continue relaying gas main Belvidere Avenue. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Bethany Road/Winthrop Street Crosswalk Improvements: A City hired contractor will make crosswalk improvements at the intersection of Bethany Road and Winthrop Street. Expect minor delays.

Central Street Water and Sewer Design: A City hired contractor will conduct geoprobe investigations on Kellogg Street. Expect minor delays.

Chestnut Street Gas Main Relay – Eversource Gas: Eversource Gas will continue relaying gas main on Chestnut Street.A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Fenwick Street Manhole Installation: Work is scheduled for Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14
The Sewer Division will install a sewer manhole on Fenwick Street. Fenwick Street between Londonderry Road and Brook Street will be closed to through traffic. A detour will be in effect. Please seek an alternate route. 

Flagg Drive Water Main Replacement: Water main installation continues. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Hillcrest and Berkshire Water Main Replacement: The Water Division will continue installing water main on Hillcrest Road. Hillcrest Road and Berkshire Road will be open to residents and emergency vehicles only.

Nobscot Intersection Improvements: Verizon will set new utility poles in preparation for the intersection improvements project. Expect minor delays at times.

Union Avenue and Pearl Street Utilities: Sidewalk construction is scheduled for Proctor Street. Expect minor delays at times.

Warren Road Gas Main Relay – Eversource Gas: Eversource Gas will begin relaying gas main on Warren Road.A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Expect delays at times.

Worcester Road Water and Sewer Improvements: Miscellaneous drainage and sewer work. One lane will be closed on Worcester Road/Rt.9 East. Expect delays. Construction is scheduled Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
