FRAMINGHAM – Victor J. Palencia, 70, a longtime resident of Framingham passed away on July 3, 2020 following a brief illness.

Born in Tonacatepeque, El Salvador, he was the son of Maria Hilda (Matus) Palencia of Southborough, and the late Victor Manuel Palencia.

Victor was a devout Catholic and an extremely active member of St. Stephen’s Parish.

His primary focus was always his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Blanca O. Jimenez De Palencia, his daughters, Hilda M. Palencia & her husband Miguel Contreras of Framingham, and Aida De Leon & her husband Daniel De Leon of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, his grandchildren, Mariana, Arianie, Ashley and Yara, his siblings, Sara Williamson & her husband David Williamson, Bessy Cortez, Chedy Palencia, Roberto Palencia, Gustavo Palencia, and his sister-in-law Sara Palencia, his nieces and nephews, David, Victoria, Boris, Chris, Marielle, Monica, Victor, Michael, Victor, Henry,  Cristian, Claudia, and Clarissa.

Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother Javier Palencia. Victor will be dearly missed by all his cousins, and nieces and nephews from El Salvador and Canada.

Family and friends will honor and remember Victor’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Wednesday, July 8 from 4-8 P.M.

Due to the current health restrictions, masks will be required at all times but not provided, and those in attendance are asked not to linger in the funeral home.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning in St. Stephen’s Church, 251 Concord St. Framingham at 10 o’clock.

Interment will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery.
