BOSTON – The National Weather Service is calling for thunderstorms today and highs in the 80s.

Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 4 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain.

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain.
