FRAMINGHAM – Following the success of Meals for Medics, Downtown Framingham, Inc. is hosting Clips for Confidence, a fundraiser to support Framingham’s black-owned businesses by sponsoring free haircuts for local youth through DFI’s partnership with Framingham Public Schools.

Donors are requested to donate $20 to sponsor a child; funds will be paid directly to each barbershop as the cuts are completed.

Recipients can pick from Dream Team Barber Shop, Loyalty Barber Shop VII, Twins Barber Shop, and more.

DFI Board Director Reyad Shah is assisting to coordinate the effort in his role as a secondary OST Coordinator at Framingham High School.

The current goal is to sponsor 100 cuts for local youth.

With permission of the child’s family, updates of before and after haircut photos will be shared on the GoFundMe page and DFI website.

The goal is to raise $2000.

Those who donate by 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, will be entered into a drawing for one of four $25 gift cards from Loyalty Barber Shop VII during DFI’s Backyard Beats for Black-Owned Businesses live stream event featuring musicians Scott & Kameelah that can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/DowntownFramingham/live/
