FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Legion baseball will be participating in the 2020 season in what is called Worcester County Baseball League.

The team is supposed to open up their season on Wednesday, July 8 on the road, where they would face Leominster for opening day.

The game is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.

All teams are still awaiting the approval of phase 3 by the Governor before any season can officially start.

“We have some familiar faces returning to the lineup and some new players that will most certainly help our team this year” said Bunkie Smith, head coach of the Framingham team.”

Some of the familiar faces returning to the team are P/1B Tommy Clark, SS/P Nick Seeto, C/OF Jack Matarese who committed to playing college baseball next year at Colby-Sawyer, Justin Krier who is a pitcher for Framingham State University, OF/P Alex Duffy, 2B/3B Chris Kelly, 1B/OF Angelo Moutafis and P/1B Matt Maloney.

Some of the new faces joining Framingham this year include P Ben Reyes who is committed to playing baseball at Trinity College, P James Draughn who is committed to playing baseball at Franklin Pierce and SS Gavin Mosher who is committed to playing baseball at Brandies University.
