FRAMINGHAM – One person was transported to a Boston hospital via a medical helicopter on Friday night on Winter Street, after a 2-vehicle crash.

The crash happened at 9:22 p.m. at 312 Winter Street.

The female was trapped in the vehicle, said Framingham Police Lt. Patricia Grigas.

The man driving the other vehicle was transported to Framingham Union Hospital, said Lt. Grigas. His passenger suffered no injuries.

“Both cars were completely destroyed by the force of the collision,” said the police report.

The male driver hospitalized will be cited for the crash, said Lt. Grigas. He was not arrested.

Speed was a factor in the crash, according to police.

Winter Street was closed for a while Friday night due to the crash.
