HOLLISTON – Richard Vincent Moran, 85, of Holliston passed away Wednesday June 24, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.  

Born in Boston he was the son of the late Joseph and Teresa (McNicholas) Moran.  He was the brother of the late Joseph Moran, Jack Moran, Teresa Moran, and Gertrude Conklin and uncle of many nieces and nephews. Richard is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 62 years and his five children and spouses, Steven Moran and his partner Manuel Razetto of Salem, South Carolina, Richard M. Moran of Holliston Scott and Amy Moran of Bolton, Tracey Moran of Holliston, and Barbara and Mark Dudley of Holliston. Richard is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Melissa Provost, Thomas Moran, Conor Moran, Cameron Dudley, Jayson Dudley, Abigail Shea Moran, Ava Cathryn Moran, and Skylar Parker. 

Richard was a wonderful family man with a great sense of humor.  He was a loving husband, dad, and “best” grandpa ever.  He cherished spending time with his family “just being together” at a family gathering or on vacations to Maine and lake Winnipesaukee New Hampshire.  

He also enjoyed trips to Hawaii, Ireland, Paris France, and The Bahamas. 

Richard served honorably in the US Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Zellars.  

He had a genuine kindness towards everyone that he met and left warm impressions upon them. 

Funeral services will be private.
