2. With the conclusion of this difficult school year happening this week in Framingham, the students in kindergarten, fifth, & eighth grade have missed out on their opportunities to participate in graduation ceremonies in their schools. To help celebrate and recognize all the hard work the students have put in to reach milestones in their education in town, We Care Car Care and Paula Swift Photography have partnered up with Juniper Hills Farms Ice Cream to bring a free ice cream to all the kindergarten through grade 8 students in the City of Framingham. Today, beginning at 10 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. the Juniper Hills Farms Ice Cream truck will make a tour of several of the
schools in town offering a free ice cream novelty to each K-8 school aged student.

3. Today is Juneteenth. According to Juneteenth.com, “Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. 

State Representative Maria Robinson, a Democrat who represents Framingham, filed legislation to create a “Juneteenth Independence Day” as a state holiday in Massachusetts.

4. It was announced yesterday that Sofa Cafe in Framingham has closed.

5. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events.
